(white) Awareness is Revolutionary

(white) Awareness is Revolutionary is a collective of white and white-presenting members of the Triratna Buddhist Community (TBC) committing to:

• Drawing upon the wellspring of the Dharma, the vastness of the Buddhist tradition(s), and the particular system of practice of Triratna to guide and inspire us in appropriate responses to racism, systemic racism and white supremacy.

• Accelerating our racial literacy and inclusion skills, including a deeper understanding of whiteness and our own racialization.

• Working collaboratively to foster the manifestation of sangha as Beloved Community within the TBC and beyond.

• Engaging in compassionate action for racial equity, justice, and repair within our hearts, minds, communities and larger society, interrupting the karmic momentum of racism.

In the Triratna NY • NJ Sangha, Upayadhi has been particularly involved in this initiative, and Ananta and Padmadharini have taken the course.
