March 21st - April 25th, 2023

Course Description:
Being a Buddhist does not mean being part of a religious group, following its ideas and practices blindly. It means learning how to see the world as it is, through your own eyes, and acting from that vision.
This can be a hard thing to do—our dependence on being part of a group is extremely strong, and in trying to individuate, we can polarize and define ourselves in opposition. Individuals who are genuinely free from the group, rather than merely reacting to it, are rare.
During this 6-week course, we’ll explore what it means to free yourself from the need to belong to a group and become an individual, and how the spiritual community is not just another group, but a “free association of individuals.”
Participants will receive the e-book The Individual and the Spiritual Community as part of the course.
This course is OPEN TO ALL—all are welcome.
