Meditation and Buddhism – Triratna Sangha Night
The Triratna NYC Buddhist Community welcomes anyone with an interest in exploring Buddhist practice to their Tuesday Sangha Night. We will hold a Sangha Night once a month – on a Tuesday. This will be the first Tuesday of each month. No previous meditation experience is required. We begin with a meditation, followed by a talk and discussion. The emphasis is on spiritual fellowship, meditation practice, and the practical application of Buddhist principles in our daily lives.
Practice groups meet on (other) Tuesday evenings of the month:
Open to all, as long as they have an understanding and experience of the Triratna system of practice, including our two basic meditations.
Triratna NYC is part of a larger Buddhist movement with groups and centers in 27 countries, all grounded in the commitment to authentically engage with the Buddha’s radical teachings in the conditions of our modern world. An ecumenical Buddhist movement that started over 50 years ago, Triratna is affiliated to no single particular school, drawing thoughtfully instead on the many streams of Buddhist tradition to share the teachings in a relevant and inspiring way. Known for is friendliness and balanced approach of study, meditation, community, and ritual, Triratna wholeheartedly welcomes people of all backgrounds and experience to its regular community gathering.
