WHAT IS MINDFULNESS-BASED STRESS REDUCTION (MBSR)?
In this program that is both intensive and deeply nourishing, you will learn to access and cultivate your natural capacity to actively engage in caring for yourself and find greater balance, ease, and peace of mind. MBSR uses meditation, yoga, inquiry and informal daily mindfulness practices as a way of training people to relate differently to the stresses in their lives. The central focus of MBSR is intensive training in mindfulness meditation and its integration into the challenges and adventures of everyday life.

Savanna discovered meditation and the Dharma in 2004, living in London and coming across the London Buddhist Center in Bethnal Green. She immediately started sitting meditation retreats several times a year. Her explorations have since brought her to study with a variety of teachers in several centers in Europe and the US.
After having herself experienced the benefits of an 8 week MBSR cycle in 2009, Savanna trained in facilitating MBSR at the Center for Mindfulness at the University of Massachusetts Medical School. She completed the MBSR Practicum in 2010, and the Teacher Development Intensive in 2014, the same year she also become a certified Senior Trainer with The Potential Project, an organization dedicated to bringing mindfulness to the workplace.
Savanna is particularly interested in practicing in the workplace and in mitigating the cost of stress and burn out to organizations and their employees. She herself has more than 17 years of corporate experience in four different countries (USA, UK, France, India), both in the Luxury and Consumer Electronics industries. She currently leads the Regional Executive Learning and Development function of a large corporation. More recently, Savanna has been training as a life coach with Leadership That Works.
For over 12 years Savanna has been an active member of the Triratna Buddhist Community, her primary context for deepening her practice and community support. She is a regular facilitator on Tuesday evenings at the Friends’ Night of Triratna NYC. She also trained as a contemplative caregiver in hospice with the New York Zen Center for Contemplative Care and the Visiting Nurse Services of New York in 2010. In 2013 she completed the Integrated Study and Practice Program (ISPP) with the Barre Center for Buddhist Studies and The New York Insight Meditation Center. Savanna has been a committed member of the Mindfulness Meditation NYC Teacher Collaborative since 2010.
Born in France, Savanna speaks both French and English fluently.
